Mary Baker Eddy was one of the most productive and prolific workers of any age. She discovered the Science of divine Mind, how it worked and how to teach it to others. She healed, wrote, taught, formed organizations, magazines, a newspaper, a college, a church, and ran her own large household and affairs for decades, making multiple daily decisions that affected great numbers of people with ease. She wrote, “A great amount of time is consumed in talking nothing, doing nothing, and indecision as to what one should do. If one would be successful in the future, let him make the most of the present.”*
Inaction due to indecision fades away when we fully commit ourselves to the One who created us. This Mind lives in eternity. Eternity does not really mean a long, long time. It means now and only now. Having the Mind of Christ means that we stay present in thought and don’t drift into the past or the future in our thinking. It makes the most of the present by letting the Mind of Christ direct our actions and decisions.
God’s unerring beneficial decisiveness becomes our own, unfolding in every direction when we stay present with the divine Mind. We can walk through our days confident that before we ever encounter any situation, divine Love has been there assessing the requirements and pointing the way. Mind is not fooled by appearances but knows all true needs and will supply them for everyone involved.
Living in constant relation to the Mind of Christ, we will never be sidetracked into thinking that happiness is dependent on other people or on circumstances, because the joy-giving fact of our ongoing relationship with the infinite source of joy is secure.
When we have the Mind of Christ, reactivity disappears and each day brings new original opportunities and vistas. God’s great satisfaction with His work naturally becomes ours. Being about our Father’s business becomes that of bearing witness to God’s truth, of seeing and expressing both the infinite glories and exquisitely interactive details of divine Mind, where all things work together for good.
We all can say, “Today I am divine Love expressed. Today I am infinite Mind manifested. Today I am harmonious Life enacted. Today I am grateful beyond words for this most precious ongoing relationship with my Creator. Today I will see His/ Her image and likeness everywhere. These are decisions worth committing to.

I love this post! It reminds me that we can expect help with even the tiniest most insignificant seeming details and decisions of our life….and even ones we hadn’t even thought about. In fact, we don’t have to think about anything in the past or future or even the present other than our inseparable connection to the vast unending flow of illimitable, creative Mind. We are beautifully loved and cared for. Thank you, Mind. Thank you, Cindy!
