livingwatersLiving waters. Do you sometimes long for something that lasts, something pure and good and unpolluted and dependable? Who doesn’t love pure, fresh, flowing, cold, beautiful water?

Today I launch my blog called living waters. It will be about that something within us that longs for, and finds connection to, a wellspring of abundance inside that makes life worth living. We all seem to be looking for it. We may look everywhere but in our own being.

Of course, the term “living water” comes from a thirsty land. When you live in a desert place, living water is all the more precious. What a thrill to come across a pure, free-flowing stream, after trekking across a barren landscape. Standing water might be brackish or worse, but a living, moving, stream of fresh water is life saving.

Where I live geographically is hardly a desert, but for many of us, inspiration can seem far between when there is too much going on– too much stuff, too much noise, too much to do. Then, living water is especially necessary. Hubbub fills life with perishable pleasures and persistent pains. Then it is all the more important to take time to rest by living waters, to be washed and refreshed by cool, pure, dependable dips in Spirit.

Finding an oasis of spiritual connection, rejuvenation, peace is needed every day. I hope you’ll join me in making it a regular stop.
